Big Ears!

A lazy morning and then walking down to day 2 of the Lightnight celebrations which mark the end of the Perth 800 as mentioned yesterday.

Another reason for walking down was the large amount of snow that fell during the night, and a message from my daughter to say that there were absolutely NO parking spaces in town. Breagha absolutely loves the snow and sits and the door wanting out to play in it, just like a child!

We had a wander around the Andermass stalls and found this superb specimen which is an European Eagle Owl. One of my favourite birds, owls, this one had the most amazing orange eyes as you can see. We met Planko, another blipper at the smokie stall, it was nice to meet him in person with his 2 kids. Had a shot of the archery (not too bad) and then we wandered round to the museum as they had lots of exhibitions on. Then on to the Concert Hall again and caught a rehearsal of the members of the public who had signed up to be the zombies from Michael Jackson's Thriller video. They were most impressive with all their gory make up and ripped clothes covered in blood. They are performing it for real at 7.10pm and think may go back down again to see them and some performers in the auditorium who we also caught doing a soundcheck!

The tea is waiting (fish) so I'll sign off for the moment and pop back for a chat later! Not usually so early with the blip.
