Dunnock

Today's the day ................... to wait your turn

Lots of birds on the feeders today and the fat balls were the most popular place to be. Must be all that white stuff about that's hiding other food sources. This timid little dunnock had to wait her turn to rush in and get some of the seed.

Will and Rob had to wait their turn too. They were both going on trains, Will south to Leamington Spa and Rob north to Edinburgh. Will only had to wait half an hour or so - but Rob's train which was only going as far as Carlisle anyway didn't even have an estimated time of arrival as nobody knew what had happened to it.

There was supposed to be a bus meeting the train at Carlisle which would finish the journey to Edinburgh - but then we heard that all buses had been cancelled. He did eventually get there but he had to wait his turn to get on another train which was already packed with delayed people.

I just went into hibernation at home ....................!
