Gillipaw's Journal

Snow has fallen Snow on Snow

Our bird bath, against the red sandstone of the house. A heavy fall early this morning, then on with the wellies to Blip whilst there was a little sunlight. We then had another heavy snowstorm. There has probably been about six inches of snow here today.

It is going to be interesting to see how the transport services cope with "back to work" tomorrow.

Delicious lunch. I bought all the ingredients to try out Lady Findhorn's salmon dish. It got full marks from us, and very easy to make.

The RSNO St Andrew's Party concert last night with Phil, Aly and Eddie Reader was just fantastic. I love Eddie's voice. She sang four Burns' Songs, so I was happy - my favourite being Green Grow the Rushes O'. That word "tapsalteerie" (topsy turvy) is just brilliant. The finale was the piece Cathcart, written by Phil Cunningham for bagpipes and orchestra.
