Sunbeams

Faithful sunworshippers

They may be faithful but I think the end is upon these two beautiful roses who have so far weathered the freezing temperatures with great courage!

Today has been the coldest day but with brilliant sunshine. Unfortunately the waterpipes leading to the troughs in the calves yards were frozen up but luckily we found a hose pipe that reached both of them and so we have been standing about in sub-zero temperatures slowly filling them up for the night! If only Tim was back from Brittany!

A farmer and his lad arrived later this afternoon to sheep fence some of our fields so that their flock can graze them during the winter. This is beneficial for us since the sheep eat all the coarse grass and weeds making it neat and tidy for the new grass to grow in the spring.
