David Garrick (1717-1779)
Another claim to fame for the Hendon Hall Hotel is that it was once owned by David Garrick.
He was a Shakespearean actor and also manager of the Drury Lane Theatre. He now has the Garrick Theatre, Charring Cross Rd, named after him.
