Resolutely staying in

I didn't even bother setting the alarm today having had a look out the back window at the hill out of the village before going to bed. So waking to find that nothing was moving, the buses weren't running, nothing had been delivered to the shops and the schools and nurseries were shut wasn't much of a surprise although it was good to be not surprised at 7.45 rather than 6am.

So another day of sitting at the kitchen table leaning back towards the Aga and keeping the fire going in the sitting room. Occasionally popping to the shops and making more bread than normal seeing as the shops have run out. There's plenty of takers.

I did take a walk along to the old Rosyth church yard, which is nowhere near what is now called Rosyth. I've been there before but it was quite unsatisfactory mainly because it faces the wrong way for early mornings. Today the low sun (when it was out) was doing a good job of making some long shadows and giving texture to the snow.
