Thistle Down

By Ethel

Esteem

Thou art more priceless,
Than rubies on a shelf.
For thee...I esteem greatly,
Even as myself.

For you are not a no-body,
And a no-body...neither am I.
We are both somebody,
With estimation up-high.

All of us are humans,
Each made in different ways.
Looking up---for sweet compassion,
And eager for another's praise.

For the worth of a soul is great,
Self-worth and the worth of another.
And if we will seek God's holy plan,
We will esteem...our brother.
