Yard art at the Southeastern Center of Contemporar

This "yard art" is at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art which is based at the former hunting lodge and 32 acre estate of James G. Hanes, the founder of Hanes Clothing.

Winston-Salem is the home of the robber barons, North Carolina style. Across the road from the former Hanes estate is the Reynolda House. The Reynolda House is the preserved home of R. J. Reynolds, the founder of R. J. Rynolds Tobacco Company, built on a 1,067 acre estate. The house is now a museum where one can see some of the original furnishings as well as a collection of American art.
