These footprints on the beach reminded me of Robinson Crusoe (when he finds footprints in the sand), even though they were made by shoe wearing feet and Southsea beach is nothing like a warm desert island!

It was so cold last night that even the shingle further up was solid this morning. That did feel weird to walk on.
