Mills Observatory

Dropped Mrs P off at work today as roads around us were very icy and our street is still barely drivable. As it was lunchtime i went for a little exercise and decided to walk through the snow up to the top of Balgay Hill to take some shots of the Observatory.

The dome is the only one in the world from papier-mâché and i wondered how much snow would be on it. We've been having perfectly clear nights the last two night so i also wanted to see if it was going to be open as its an ideal site for taking star shots, but no idea, was all closed up when i was there.

Lovely blue sky today and reflecting off the snow made it look even colder. Best viewed large
