Muck in the City

Edinburgh is truly truly disgusting. Because of the snow there has been no street cleaning for couple of weeks, and as the layers of snow melt back, the layers of rubbish and cigarettes discarded by idiots who believe that others should clean up after them appear instead.

The bespoiling of beautiful places is one of things that is guaranteed to wind me up, and this is what you see when you get a thaw. It's amazing how things can shift from the rather beautiful to the outstanding ugly in such a short period of time.

I cycled in today. It has improved my mood, although you wouldn't guess as much from the above. It has really. Believe me. But, boy, was it hard going into the wind up the hill!
