Since 28th July 2010 my journal has been documenting the construction of a wind farm in the Terra Alta region of Catalunya, Spain. We own and live in a Mas (finca) which is on the line of the wind turbines, and will have two of the beasts within 300 metres of our home.

Stop the world, I want to get off!

Since last Saturday (my last journal entry) another wind turbine went up within a couple of days. They then moved to the next site, began construction and then came to a grinding halt with three sections of the mast up... we assume that the crane had broken down... and have only just completed the turbine, having wasted two days waiting for whatever was wrong to be mended. I expect they'll have to work 24/7 now in order to make up time and avoid penalty payments!
