Since 28th July 2010 my journal has been documenting the construction of a wind farm in the Terra Alta region of Catalunya, Spain.  We own and live in a Mas (finca) which is on the line of the wind turbines, and will have two of the beasts within 300 metres of our home.

That's it, the turbine's up. The huge crane is already erected on another of the turbine sites along the ridge to the rear of our Mas.  This coming week that turbine will no doubt go up, and one more per week (give or take, they may get faster) until all 21 of them are up.  They're not scheduled to be completed until sometime in February 2011, but they may not go online until a while after that.  Who knows.

This is the last daily blip in this series.  I've done what I wanted, to document the construction of the wind farm, and I can't see the point of taking a daily photo of the construction of the rest of the turbines as it would be a bit repetetive, but I may well take the odd blip as each turbine is completed.  Commenting will be erratic though!

Thanks for following the progress... if it can be called progress.  As a starting point for further reading see here.
