Since 28th July 2010 my journal has been documenting the construction of a wind farm in the Terra Alta region of Catalunya, Spain. We own and live in a Mas (finca) which is on the line of the wind turbines, and will have two of the beasts within 300 metres of our home.

We both ended up staying here last night as no more construction took place, probably due to the high winds.

But this morning the wind had dropped a little, and in the space of a couple of hours the third and last section of the turbine tower was put up, and we can hear them inside it, tightening the bolts - all 100 of them!

There was a bit of a to-do as the spacers had been mislaid, (anyone who knows Steve will realise that he's been listening in on the UHF PBR band), but they eventually found them in the compound. Oh, and those bags hanging from the lifted section are full of bolts.

So, how soon will they add the generator and the nosecone and blades?
