Tradescantia

This must be one of the easiest houseplants to grow and to propogate. Break off a tiny stem - stick it in a vase; within days it sprouts roots. Stick them in a flowerpot and - there you have one more tradascantia. It then grows at an amazing rate, with a proliferation of green varigated leaves. These soon turn purple on the underside. When the light shines through the leaves it looks absolutely glorious. This one is supported by contorted willow stems, giving it a nice natural look as it sprouts in all directions, while still being modestly controlled into a manageable shape. May swap the pot, now I see the photo; this one doesn't set if off as well as it might.
