In for the kill

Down into the South Hams today - originally with the intention of surfing, but with barely a knee high wave on the sets, climbing into a wetsuit didn't appeal.

Ended up round at Aveton Gifford, wandering down the estuary with the camera. This guy - a Great Egret (I think...) - was having a whale of a time hunting little fish trapped in a pool as the tide went out. I wondered for a while why the egret was 'vibrating' before each lunge, I noticed later it was using it's front foot to scare the little fish out of the mud - quite clever really.

As the afternoon went on the light got better and better and I've had a dilemma of which shots to put on after rather a few days of lacklustre shots.
