Cammo Tower

Built around 1871 - although this may refer to the nearby estate buildings, Cammo Tower was once a water tower that supplied the nearby area. At one time it had a windmill on top of it. I've always thought that the small hill to the left with the trees on it hid a secret, but being a secret I don't know what it is. It just doesn't look like it belongs in the neighbourhood which is mostly very flat. An ancient burial place maybe? A place of worship in olden times? Who knows?

A murky start to the day, but the sunshine is now out and the dog walkers have appeared in numbers, enticed away from daytime television by the promise of some fresh air.

It's better large
