Sunset over the skating rink in Ten Boer

The first day of the Christmas holidays for me and for the girls. Martine was working today so this was sort of a bonus daddy day. We had a perfect lazy morning and in the afternoon we went to the skating rink. Much to my surprise, Nienke and Inge both did really well on their skates. They both have skates with double blades for extra stability but it seems Nienke is ready for skates with a single blade. Ellis was also there, but she doesn't really like the cold (it was around -4 degrees Celcius I think)...

Both Nienke and Inge continued skating until after sunset and here they are skating towards me with the sun setting over the rink. A fun first day of the holidays!
