House Construction 12

Please excuse a second successive house building shot, but our new abode is proceeding so rapidly and vividly that I couldn't resist.

This shows further work on putting up the siding, with the help of an enormous cherry picker or boom lift. (View it LARGE).

As the work began originally, I had no real idea of the capital equipment necessary even for such a modest project as this house. The company doing the building is quite small--I've seen just five persons involved, and they own virtually all of the equipment they've used, including this lift and the crane seen here.

To take the picture I climbed onto another piece of equipment. The two vans in the foreground contain a multitude of smaller tools.

A link to yesterday's blip is here, which has links leading further back. Click in on this Friday for a blip on installing the insulation.
