Concert Tickets

I've been looking forward to this evening's concert for ages - the highlight of the evening will be Bach's Magnificat - one of my absolute favourite pieces.

But sadly we won't be there, just another one of the enjoyable things that this lousy rotten weather has spoiled. Add a concert I was due to be playing in, 3 reading evenings the Wonderspouse was looking forward to, Christmas lunch with my best friend, not to mention all the ordinary enjoyments of life.

However, we are at least at home, warm, with plenty of books and videos. And we're still delighted to have the car back, even though we daren't risk going to London in it tonight.

Back to the sofa, the blanket, the hot water bottle, the heated slippers, and Poirot, Midsomer Murders, and an old videotaped episode of Trial & Retribution!

Concerts and the thrill of listening to live music will have to wait until the weather lets us travel freely again.
