House Construction 13 - Insulation

As promised, here's a blip on installing the insulation in our new house. The installer is at the upper right, almost evoking Santa (he warned me, it's a messy process).

On the left he's loading a packet of the cellulose fiber insulation into the pump which blows it into the walls (the pump is in his pick-up truck which he has backed up to the rear door). The pump holds only two packets at a time, lasting him at most ten minutes--he'll be at it for another two days at least.

At the lower right he is blowing the insulation into into a closet wall, between the studs. In preparation, he spent over a day stapling reinforced plastic sheets on to the studs. Once it's all done, the sheetrockers come in to cover it all up.

Happy holidays to everyone!
