Snowy Path

It was nice to have our first lazy morning for weeks! But after bacon rolls for lunch we headed off to Tiso to buy myself a new pair of walking boots. Think I was due a new pair as the ones I have been using are 17 years old and due to constant use this past month the rubber is splitting and the tread wearing down! Very happy with my new ones, comfy too; they don't need to be broken in!

As we were close to the walk at the River Almond, we took Breagha there and she was just bursting with energy! As we walked along the path, she spied a duck flapping as it took flight from the water, it was just too inviting, and she ran across the ice and jumped straight in before we had a chance to stop her. Luckily, the water was running quite slowly and she managed to scamble up onto the ice and back to the path. Silly beast - but seemed none the worse for her icy bath - just shook herself and a quick roll in the snow and off again. Running, sniffing, running, eating packed ice, more running . . . . .

This is my husband, on the path, walking into the mist . .. . . . .
