Alors voilà...

By so

Melting snows

Yes, the weather is now much warmer (all of 7°C today!) and the river Saône is overflowing.
No more sitting on the stone benches or walking from stairway to stairway.

But the worse part is... the rats!
Yes, rats can't live down in the sewers anymore and therefore join us on dry land. Just the other day, one of them managed to enter the bookshop, a few dozen meters from the river.
The cashier went "ah!!!!" and would have stepped on her stool if she had dared. The customers, though, were quite amused "oh, a big fat rat just went through here! how funny!"
Still, it took us a good half-hour to make it go outside, and then it went to hide under the porch. Mr Rat-Killer had arrived by then. When we asked him what exactly he was going to do (he was putting on thick gloves, gathering equipment, and looking quite scary) he replied : "I'm going to kill it" in a very determined voice.
Be relieved, the rat was smarter. We still don't know where it went...
