NYC - New years Eve!

What an awesome place. I am not sure how people actually live here though as the pace of life is a little bit different to Tiffield! We have packed quite a lot in today, so here is the check list...

CHECK LIST:-

1. Planet Hollywood for Breakfast - tick!
2. Saw, Macys, Bloomingdales, Emire State Building - tick!
3. ChinaTown - tick!
4. Walked over the Brooklyn Bridge - tick!
5. Drank in an Irish Pub - tick!
6. Had fun in Battery Park - tick!
7. Ground Zero - tick! (what a strange and eery place)
8. Geocaching in central NYC! - tick!

OTHER STUFF:-

Really enjoyed the New Years expereince in NYC, although I was flaking at midnight (Still on UK time and my body clock was saying "go to sleep Julia, its friggin 5am!!). We spent the evening in an Irish Bar, not far from Times Square. We got there about 4.30pm to make sure we had a seat and was there til midnight. We ate a lot which is probably why we are not hungover this morning. We went outsiide at midnight to watch the ball drop - along with 2 million other people and police everywhere! We met with some English peeps and they are come caching with us today! (We'll see). There was every nation you can imagine in that bar. No violence, just a great time.

It took us about 40 mins to get home.

Happy New Year Peeps.... Blip tomorrow.

Photo taken with a live toy solider (bit like Convent Garden) just by Battery Park.
