Who is mightier ?

The pen and the knife.

One is a tool, powerful one that helped people write history, and help some to rewrite it. A tool that was once upon a time's only media, and still continues to be the best form of placeholders for thoughts. Today's electronic media can no way replace the power of the pen or the newspaper to influence ones lives. The beauty and simplicity and the straightforwardness, or the neutrality of the news in the newspaper. Electronic media today is all about breaking news, sms polls, loud and repeatetive correspondents, and never ending ads.

The knife was an important creation for mankind, which helped him cut and eat food, which was vital for his survival. With the knife the early man cut trees and branches used it to cut while building, and stab animals to kill them for food.
It was only when man forgot the difference between an animal and his own self being and a neighbour, that the knife became a more powerful, and dangerous tool. People today use knife to cut throats and stab at the backs of fellow human beings more, than they use it to cut onions and olives.

Why all this today suddenly ? A man who used the knife in his early age in political faction, was murdered in the city late evening, and the media ( tv channels ) are going gaga to cover the story from every possible angle.

Who is mightier ?
