Journey Through Time

Mt. Hood, Oregon

Clear and cold in the Pacific NW allows us to gaze upon the beauty of our closest volcano, Mt. Hood, which lies in the Cascade Mountain range of Oregon Washington and Northern California. Mt. Hood hasn't erupted for a good long time, and probably won't wake up any time soon, but one never knows, does one? Anyway, Mt. Hood is a very pretty mountain and there is much skiing and snowboarding that goes on at several venues. This mountain attracts mountain climbers also and is a very busy place at certain times of the year. Don't let it's beauty fool you, as Mt. Hood is still a mountain and a wild place with extreme conditions and, sadly, many people have died on this mountain. Most are found, but some are lost forever.
