Our House

When we bought this house 18 months ago it had a reasonable amount of work to do inside, ripping out the kitchen, knocking through into the dinning room etc. We got most of that done in a few frantic months before Alice was born at the end of 2009.
This year we're concentrating on the outside. It had very formal, mature garden on a very steep slope down to the house. We've completely slashed&burnt that and we're trying to re-landscape it with some terraced flat areas for the kids to play on and a veg patch. The old garden foliage was so dense that the vantage point for this picture was behind 3-4m of shrub&tree branches. It's good to get a decent view onto the house now.
The weekend is the time we get most work done, but with all the snow and frozen ground there was no chance we'd get anything serious done. So playing in the snow it was!
One great thing about having such a steep drive-way is that we can use it for sledging with the kids:)
