CHAP Car

CHAP, Children?s Healing Arts Project, is an organization here in Portland that works with children suffering from a catastrophic illness and their families. This car is a traveling art project. It has countless layers of paint, each lovingly applied with the hands of youngsters. The car appears at most summer arts festivals in the city and is part of the children?s participation area.

This is not the best picture I took today, but it was the more inspiring. I can go back another day and find the statues and buildings, but one never knows where this car will be.
