the truth or delirium?

our ap/studio art assignment theme as of the moment:
political/international issues.
acrylic on canvas.


religion v. society.
i can say so much about this...

science says it was the big bang.
christianity claims otherwise, that it was the almighty God's doing.

atheists declare that they don't need a stupid hallucination to live on.
people with strong faiths sing in choirs that He is everything.

atheists live with what life gives them, and get through "on their own."
buddhists take the life that's given to them to pray, meditate, and reach complete zen.

"regular" (as in those with no religion) people use up resources without much thought, as if it's a natural part of life.
believers thank the gods of those resources -- be it water, wisdom, etc. -- for providing them with such.

logic believes in perseverence and hard work.
religion believes in complete faith.

so what's the truth?
is there REALLY someone up there looming over us,
or has it always just been in our heads?

i need answers.
