A Box Of Socks

No, this is not a tribute to Dr Seuss (and for a million trivia points, what was Dr Seuss's real name?). This is the latest in sleep technology. I have these beside my bed for when El Gato Glorioso asks to be let out on the roof terrace at 00.30, 02:00, 04:00 (and asks quite loudly and insistently), I've discovered that a gently lobbed pair of socks gives him pause for thought and me about another 45 minutes sleep.

I promise he doesn't get hurt - I would never hurt my cat in any way - but really, I need to sleep. And after 4 years, I reckon I deserve to sleep through the night sometimes.

And the socks, of those you can see there I think 2 pairs are bought. the rest are hand knitted. Winters pass quite slowly here.

And Dr Seuss's real name was Theodore Seuss Geisel. I bet you knew that.
