Hard Labour

14 months 22 days.

Katie helped herself to a cadbury fudge today, as I was signing her into the play cafe. This is her working of her debt to society (Not really, she was "talking" to the owner - major chatting going on - and helped her 'sort' the crisps and 'refill' the napkins. Translation: she made a mess, which was rewarded with a krispie cake)

We've had a fantastic day today. We went to Montessori this morning, and she had so much fun. Although noone had told me they were starting to charge for it, which was a tad embarassing. Anyway, this week Katie has really gotten into dressing up. Today, she dressed up as Sully from Monsters Inc and the most adorable little cat costume. She also played with playdough for the first time, rather than just sitting at the table, banging a rolling pin and leaving.

She fell asleep in the car home, for about 10minutes, but woke up as I took her out, and wouldn't go back to sleep. I gave her a bit of dinner and we went to meet friends who'd invited us to go to the play cafe. She's tall enough now to climb in and out the ball pool and is loving that extra independence. She also ate loads whilst we were there - she rejected the stolen fudge in favour of cucumber. But only for a while, fear not.

We nipped to Tesco and came home to discover a missed parcel, so went to collect it and a friend had sent her a Leap Frog My Pal Scout. Well, she was smitten! I've not even been able to program him yet as she's been clinging to him. He sings "If you're happy and you know it" and within minutes, Katie worked out which button to press to make it happen and how to skip it through to that song. This evening she's also been doing the dance to 'Dingle Dangle Scarecrow' and has been asking for 'round and round' (Wheels on the bus) and doing the actions for wheels, wipers, horn and children.

She ate a really good tea, then 2 yogurts, cheesy snacks, orange and still gulped her milk like it was going out of fashion. She fell asleep during her milk she was that tired out.
