Baby Pterodactyl

Discovered this (again) recently and in lieu of an outdoor shot today that would have consisted of a frame full of fog I decided to take part in this week's Missy Moos Macro Challenge.

Of course, this isn't really a Pterodactyl. It might be a Pteranodon. Or something.

Whatever it is it's fascinating to look at at this level of detail; the huge eye, the transparent foot, the hollow looking hairs that would have eventually formed feathers. The whole image here is probably around 1.5cm from top to bottom and was taken using my usual poor man's macro set up (50mm lens and £12 extension tubes set).

Cheers* Have a pleasant evening all, and do have a jolly weekend.

*Apparently I shouldn't use this in electronic conversation. It's frowned on by some teachers of etiquette it would seem, along with saying 'Hi' or 'Hey' at the beginning. So glad that's been pointed out to me now, I'll be sure to cease and desist forthwith.

Kindest regards Ya Bass.
