Peer pressure

They're his sister's jammies.

He wants to be just like her.

He can play football in them if he likes.

I hear people talk about peer pressure as if it's a bad thing, that afflicts kids like drugs and alcohol and video games.

But I wonder if wanting to be like someone else for a bit, trying things on, copying your big sister, or your Dad, or even your pals, is part of finding out who you were made to be.

I was made to love him, I've worked out that much.

And that flowery jammies are not me.
