Forth (x4) Crossing

Second trip into Edinburgh, this time to to pick up the visa. Got a picture of the Great Wall on my passport now - cool! Beginning to get excited!

Not so cool - the courier has to do a warehouse search before they will declare the amplifier "lost". That will apparently take one week from the time the "loss" was reported. Few problems with that one; not only are they unable to track it, they don't know where it is and haven't done since last Wednesday, but I have to let them know they've lost it before they will start an inquiry? Eh?

Maybe just me but the world does seem particularly bonkers just now.

Take two very high profile legal cases on the go at the moment. Tommy Sheridan was found guilty of perjury today, was sentenced to three years imprisonment and will be required to leave his position as an MP as a result.

Then think about Lord Taylor of Warwick, a judge and Member of the House of Lords. Yesterday he was found guilty of defrauding the public purse by telling porkies about his main residence, Certainly we have to wait and see what the sentence is on that one, but since the only way a peerage can be dissolved is by Act of Parliament it seems unlikely that he'll be forced to leave his seat in the upper house.

Or think about the Andy Gray saga. One day Mr Gray is complaining about his phone being tapped, the next day he sacked from his job because he has made sexist remarks to someone when he thought he was off camera. Worse still, the people who have sacked him are part of an organisation that have no qualms about using the female body in an overtly sexual manner to sell their own products. What?

As I said, bonkers!

PS The image was taken on the way back home. The sun roof was a bit messy so there are some blotches visible. That issue has now been addressed and the car has been washed.
