I can imagine some toddler dropping it from his push chair and not missing it till he got home. Mum telling not to mind because he can still play with his shark and armadillo, and Mum not understanding that they are the wrong shape, nowhere to put your little fingers between the tentacles. Poor Octopus, soon forgotten.
