Court

Very busy morning at work.
Busy afternoon.
But over by three.

Everyone has their favourite blip locations (blocations? is that a word? is it now). This is one of mine, I'm here most weeks and have documented my visits not once, but twice before. It sometimes looks like it could actually host a decent tournament of sorts but usually it looks a bit knackered and past its best, could do with some of Andy Murray's considerable earnings to tart the place up a bit...for most folk. It resembles an out-of-season hotel that's all boarded up or an empty swimming pool with some debris in it to me, there's a faded charm to it that really appeals. Especially in black and white. Last week it was looking particularly weather-trashed and the tramline tapes were all askew, looking decidedly the wrong side of parallel, but today tapes all gone, just a grey void with two posts sticking up out of the court where the net usually hangs.

Not much music being listened to today but giving some time to a few recent sounds that have come my way and getting to grips with more from Grouper. However, the thing that really caught my aural attention was the tracklisting for the mixes of the single that film director David Lynch has made. This Skream remix is suitably dark, murky and undeniably Lynchian.
