This One Goes to 11

We got 11 inches of snow overnight. On top of the 20" or so that we already had on the ground. We're running out of places to put the stuff.

I met up with a friend from my night photography class to do some homework together. We went to a park where there is night-time cross country skiing by lantern light, but the shot I had in mind didn't pan out. So we practiced orbs and spirals in the parking lot. It's not perfect, but it was the best out of four attempts. We called it a night after this and thawed our frozen fingers over a cup of hot chocolate.

(It's interesting to see how much the stars--the earth, really--move in just three minutes, isn't it?)
