Metro View

This shot is taken looking back from a car heading south on Metro Line 6, just leaving Corvisart, the station in the right background.

The line comes above ground just on the far side the station; it's on Boulevard Auguste Blanqui, which runs along both sides of the elevated Metro. On the opposite sidewalk of the boulevard (out of sight to the right) is a major open market, three days a week (we usually go on Sundays when we're in town). The market is very large, extending from Place d'Italie to the north to at least 200 meters south of the station.

The green cylinder (about 2 meters tall) in the left middle of the image is a station for recycling glass bottles. They exist throughout Paris and can be found roughly every 300-400 meters. Best seen large
