Street Lamps on Concorde, Paris

This is a view of Place de la Concorde just before 5 pm this afternoon-the light was still very hazy, with subtle effects of color.

In the center is the Grande Roue, from near the top of which I took this view at exactly the same time a few days ago.

Otherwise I'm struck by the number of street lamps (view it large! visible on the square. I'm tempted to offer a prize for the first person who counts the total correctly!

Other items of note are the National Assembly (with columns, on the far left), the obelisk on the right (one of three Cleopatra's Needles--the other two are in London and New York), and a green tour bus near the obelisk.
