Doing Things Differently

It looked as though there was a chance of rain today, so I decided on a quick trip to RSPB Fairburn Ings to try and connect with the Long-eared Owls and the (not Lesser) Redpolls. Dipped on both, but did see the Kingfisher. It was too far in the shrubbery to get a good photo, but it was a Year Tick, taking me to 78.

The feeders were swarming with life as usual. Despite the poor light, the Goldfinches put on a great display and lived up to their colourful name.
