Red and white memorial

A walk across the city centre at lunch time to day as I headed for Leadmill Road, near the station.

Looking for something to blip near City Hall I came across these artificial flowers which probably herald a tragedy for someones family. I could see the red on the front of the shop across the square and felt I wanted to try and include both reds in the image.

Spent an excellent afternoon with the Geography & Global Citizenship group of teachers. It's lovely to spend time with such an enthusiastic group who really sparkle when they talk about things they are planning or things done with their class of children. They are all so positive and I want to be able to share these occasions with the politicians who seem bent on destroying many of the positive things we've achieved in recent years. So many of our new generation of teachers have so much to offer to an equally new generation of children.
