Holiday Money

I have a pink leather box, which is a set of three that I bought in Mumbai a few years ago. The smallest is home to a variety of bank-notes and coins, collected from my travels and postings. Together it represents a massive wad of cash, but most notes are worth little in sterling equivalent. Some I know I will never use again, but were kept as a token. Tonight I dug out some Emirati currency that I had left over from my last visit in 2009. I recall withdrawing too much when I was there, wondering if I should sell it there and then to my friend, or keep it, just in case. My decision has paid off, to the tune of £39.27.

Did I tell you I'm going on my holidays soon? Happy days.
