Him, again

It was just over a year ago that I got my first ever photograph of Mergus serator, the red-breasted merganser, in full breeding fig.
This time he was in the Western Harbour, rather than on the Water of Leith, and also a bit further away, but I think the focus is slightly better. And this time you can see the eponymous red breast!
The wind was ruffling his comedy mohican as he came up between dives.

A snell wind, today, and a bit of snow in the air; we can't really complain, though compared to Oz and the eastern US...stay warm and dry, folks!
