Rosie the Riveter

So, today's blip has a double-story.

The first is an LGBT history month homage to a classic feminist image, commonly referred to as "Rosie the Riveter". The image was used during WW2 by the American homefront to encourage women to take up the factory jobs that had been previously only filled by the men who went off to fight. You can see more information about Rosie and the image here (and there's also a wikipedia page, of course). I'll be blipping more homages to iconic LGBT images throughout February.

And the second story is that today Mrs BH and I changed the oil and the oil filter on Brrenda the bongo, our trusty campervan. We've never done anything like it before, but it all went without a hitch, and we only spilled an acceptable amount of oil on the garage floor... :o)
