Kirkwall harbour

An unusual photograph for me in that there are people in it. Nice and sunny here...had a walk to the shops for the papers and around the harbour and Peedie Sea looking for unusual gulls. That is to say; birds that may have arrived on the storm rather than birds that can juggle or recite Shakespeare.

An American Herring Gull has been seen on Burray but there were only local gulls in Kirkwall.

I'd like to photo more people going about their work, but I imagine they'd think I was from Head Office or something and take exception. The lifeboat crew are volunteers, they must have had an exercise on.
