A pub in Lewes

There is a pub in Lewes called The Snowdrop Inn. This name commemorates the people who died when an avalanche of snow and rocks buried the row of cottages in which they'd lived; it was in December, 1836, and is still believed to be the biggest avalanche in British history. The pub is to the left of the entrance to the Cuilfail Tunnel when heading away from the A27 and towards Malling Street and the Phoenix Causeway.

This picture is of the spring flower though - they are poking through the fallen leaves next to the garden path and seeing them is always a sign that winter is on the wane and soon it'll be spring and warm and days will last longer than a sneeze.

Happy Sunday!
