Measuring tree

All of the trees around the house are measuring trees for the shifting sun, acting as gauges for its progress back to us. It's a game I play to help me get through winter.

The kitchen was turned into a small chocolate factory today and I produced four dense bricks of flourless brownies that I'm about to cut into perfect one inch cubes. Each batch has 18 oz of dark chocolate, 6 eggs, 16 tablespoons of butter and a 1/4 cup Kahlua in it. I've been instructed by Mr. M to save the edge trimmings for us; the rest is going elsewhere.

Off I go then. It's 10:30 pm, I need to resist eating any, it packs a powerful punch.
