Marjorie's ramblings

Montana Roja

Towards the end of another good day, we climb Montana Roja and walk around the rim of the extinct volcano. In this photo you can see up the coast from where we are on the rim of the caldero. It you haven't been it's hard to get a sense of the distance, but the people help with that.

We started the day with a visit to El Golfo and the green lagoon, then to Los Hervideros, where we saw and heard the sea crashing into the edge of the last larva outflow. Quite spectacular at times.

It's rather nice to have clear views as a change from home recently. This holiday will soon be over - so we have to make the most of it while we can.
