Eat It

If there's one thing I like about my mum visiting it's going out for a Sunday brekkie. It's not that we normally have a bad breakfast, but it's sometimes nice to let someone do the Day-Of-Our-Lord-AM work. We'd usually head to Urban Angel, but with mum and her pal staying in a Leithy hotel it was a great excuse to try out Mimi's Bakery. And we'll be back. Oh yes.

The rest of the day, after dropping them off at the train station, was taken up with working out in the garden, including sorting out the birdhouses to be put up in a couple of trees down the bottom of the garden. The homemade one on the left might not look like it's capable, but two Blue Tit families have been raised in there in the last couple of years, and last year we had the video camera in there so we knew when to look out for the nestlings peeking out into the brave new world. Here's hoping this year the birds are as successful. The Robin box is a new addition, we'll see if that gets populated...

Back to work tomorrow. Pah!

(and you can look forward to the annual Valentine's rant tomorrow...)
