A field at Barnes Green Farm

Well yesterday's spring-like weather didn't last long, and today was dreary, drab, drizzly, and probably many more adjectives beginning with "dr...".

I was hoping to share something a bit more interesting on my second day on Blipfoto, but this one says everything about the day - grey, miserable-looking and a bit crap. The field is just east of Greno Wood, and there are actually about 70 Redwing in there somewhere in the murk and mist, although they were near-impossible to see among the muddy furrows until they moved.

Elsewhere another sign that winter hasn't quite finished was a Brambling in Wheata Wood, although there were still plenty of birds singing, with Greenfinches and Song Thrushes seemingly deciding today's the day to join in. Another sighting of the day was a Common Buzzard, flying out of woodland near Whitley Lane.
